At the General Meeting of the Khalsa

Diwan Hong Kong on Sunday the 18th. inst. the following

resolutions were unanimously passed.

1. That this Diwan, representing the local Sikh

Community, beg to express its deep regret at

the Tai O tragedy in which a Sikh Constable w2D

not only concerned but was victim of murdering

his superior officer, and finally of taking his

own life.

2. That this Diwan also beg to express its deep

regret at the cowardly conduct of the other

constables stationed there at their escaping

to save their own lives, without any attempt

to save lives and property, especially when

Kra. Glendinning and her child were in danger,

which might have been

3. It was further proposed and carried that a copy

of these resolutions be submitted to His

Excellency the Governor.

In conclusion it was pressingly point-

ed out that such a cowardly conduct is against the Sikh teachings and every true Sikh should view this as a shameful act to Sikh Character, which only on such occasione & Sikh can prove his merits by handling the

situation boldly.
